Filezilla is a free FTP program distributed under the GNU General Public License, which means not only can you use it for free but you can help develop it too!
An FTP program is used to upload and download files to your web host or server. It is generally a program you can install on your computer and move files back and forth between your machine and the server.
Filezilla has some pretty awesome features for free software-
· Allows multiple file transfers at the same time
· Quickconnect feature – let’s you store login information for multiple account and log in with just one click
· Drag and drop support – let’s you drag files from your local machine and drop them in any directory for quick transfers and vise versa
· Remote file editing – let’s you click on a file and edit it in your favorite code editor, like notepad
· Easy to use interface – Everything is nicely labeled and self explanatory
Needless to say this program rocks! It is very stable and reliable. It doesn’t have the side effects of some free software like time limits for use or annoying advertisements popping up all over the place.

The Top 3 Free Virus Scanners
3. Clam AntiVirus – http://www.clamav.net and http://w32.clamav.net/
An open source anti virus software that is mainly for Unix installations. Unfortunately they are no longer updating this for Windows so it’s not recommended. You can still get the updated virus definition files and scan with them and protect your computer. This is still a great virus scanner and its source code is available under the GPLv2. 2. AVG – http://free.avg.com/
AVG provides basic antivirus and antispyware protection for Windows available to download for free. Limited features, no support, for private and non-commercial use only. That means if you plan to use it for anything but your personal computer that you do not conduct business on you must pay for it. Some notable facts about AVG are:
1. Avast – Bounceweb’s Pick! – http://www.avast.com or http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html
