It is important for an individual to choose a reliable, and trustworthy browser because some of them have an eye-catching design but when it comes to features, they are rated from down to five. Before we begin this article about Internet Explorer 9 (IE9), I would like to say that it is still up to you to choose your type of browser.

What is IE9 or Internet Explorer 9?

This is the latest version of Internet Explorer web browser from Microsoft. It is a freeware browser that can be downloaded from Microsoft’s website. The version features a hardware-accelerated graphics rendering using Direct2D, hardware-accelerated text performance using DirectWrite, hardware-accelerated video execution using Media Foundation, imaging support provided by Windows Imaging Component, and high-fidelity printing powered by the XPS print pipeline. The IE9 has the capability to improve the performance of Javascript, and it can support different types of CSS 3 properties. Compared to the previous versions of Internet Explorer, the IE9 was released to be a major out-of-band version that is not tied up to the release schedule. It is also the last of the five major web browsers to implement support for Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG).

Knowing the system requirements:

It is significant for us to know the system requirements before installing a software. The IE9 requires an operating system such as Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista Service Pack 2 or Windows Server 2008 SP2 with the Platform Update. Windows XP and earlier are not supported.

Discovering the wonders of IE9:

Lately, there has been a rumor that Internet Explorer 9 has been positioning itself as the best business browser, and to back it up below are some quoted messages from Microsoft.

Microsoft says the data reveals a “compelling financial reason to move to Internet Explorer 9.” Based on an organisation with 50,000 IT managed desktops, a firms risk-adjusted benefits are over $6 million over three years. Forrester notes that “the data collected in this study indicates that migrating from Internet Explorer 8 to Internet Explorer 9 has the potential to provide significant quantifiable benefits and positive net benefit after Year 2.”

“As IT departments adopt Windows 7, we encourage them to deploy Internet Explorer 9 as well, because this is the best browser for the Windows operating system,” said Microsoft’s director of IE marketing, Roger Capriotti. Despite Microsoft’s claims, overall Internet Explorer usage has slipped by nearly 10 percentage points in just a year. Microsoft’s Internet Explorer now controls 53.86% of the market compared to 63.20% a year ago and 67% in January 2009, according to data from Net Applications. Microsoft’s Internet Explorer market share has bled for months continuously as the company struggles to convince users to pick Internet Explorer for their browsing needs. Internet Explorer 9 usage share is now at 15.61% worldwide on Windows 7 and 19.56% in the United States during the month of June. Microsoft recently made Internet Explorer 9 available in 93 languages, more than any other rival browser.

For me, I have tried different types of browsers, and after conducting several experiments of using IE9. I have found out that this browser is the easiest, and the simplest browser that provides features for a better browsing. It has a fast startup, and shutdown. There is a special notification that lets you know if the add-ons you have installed will slow the performance of the browser.

More importantly, the IE9 has one-of-a-kind security that has been enhanced to protect mostly all socially engineered malware. It has a tab recovery system that works on both messaging, and prompting whenever the websites have timed out.
